Silence of the Lambs

Last week, Malaysians were horrified to read about a 11 year old boy, who had both his legs amputated due to an infection suspected to be brought on by physical abuse from an assistant warden at his school in Johor.

I got a double dose of shock after reading Harian Metro. According to Harian Metro, the Johor Permaisuri, Raja Zarith Sofiah Sultan Idris Shah has urged the school to take swift action by giving medical checkups to all the students who were beaten in order to avoid this from happening to other innocent children.
Does this mean, there were other students who were abused, and was it just one abuser or we now, talking about a group of adults, randomly abusing children, whom they were paid to protect, in the very first place?
